Background and Requirements

  • M.B.A. or other advanced degree program graduates
  • Academic honors or other accomplishments that distinguish you
  • Two to four years’ experience at an investment bank, management consulting firm or private equity firm
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Passion for investing

Senior Associates identify growing segments in the health care industry and source specific companies in those segments to approach for investment. Senior Associates typically meet with or visit over 100 companies each year, work with entrepreneurs and advisors to negotiate and close transactions, complete market, company, and financial due diligence and assist portfolio companies in their strategic and financial growth plans.

Compensation is extremely competitive and includes base pay, bonus, health care coverage, 401(k) and the ability to invest in Great Point Partners' portfolio companies. Successful Senior Associates also earn carried interest in the Great Point funds after an initial period with the firm and are eligible for promotion to Vice President, Principal and ultimately Managing Director.
