Analysts are on the front lines of Great Point's effort to identify growing industry sectors and specific companies that are attractive for investment. They participate in industry tradeshows, review industry journals, augment Great Point's proprietary database of private companies, and speak with over 1,000 CEOs each year in an effort to source two to three companies for investment. Analysts also participate in transactions as a member of deal teams by meeting with management teams, conducting due diligence, performing quantitative analyses, and supporting their specific deal team (generally three to four professionals). Additional responsibilities include supporting our portfolio companies.


Analysts who join Great Point Partners have a strong record of academic achievement from a leading college, typically graduating with academic honors. Although some Analysts have previous full-time work experience in consulting, investment banking, technology, or sales, most Analysts join Great Point Partners directly from college with only summer work experience. Successful candidates must have a proven track record of excellence in academics, their work experience and extracurricular activities.


Compensation is extremely competitive and includes base pay, bonus, health care coverage, 401(k), and the ability to invest in Great Point Partners' deals on which you work. The Analyst position is a two to three-year commitment and some Analysts return to the firm as a Senior Associate after business school.
